U3A Online is provided for members in a variety of situations. Perhaps you do not have access to a conveniently located local U3A branch or you prefer to study independently? Perhaps your Local U3A does not have the classes available that you can find here in U3A Online? 

Whatever the reason you are welcome to join U3A Online as a member and then choose any of the interesting, educational and thought provoking courses available as a U3A Online member rather than as a member of a local U3A branch.
